Husband of the former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Oleksandr Tymoshenko appealed to the to the world’s leading countries to urgently investigate the activities of Yanukovych’s regime. He also called Ukrainians: “Don’t believe a single word from these stupid mob elites in power!”

Statement by Oleksandr Tymoshenko

The latest statement by Renat Kuzmin regarding Yulia Tymoshenko’s alleged involvement in the murder of four other people clearly demonstrates that Yanukovych’s regime is on the verge of complete insanity.

The government has no arguments in response to the US Senate resolution calling for the immediate release of opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko and other political prisoners. The whole world no longer believes a single word and promise said by Yanukovych, a person who for more than a year has been suffering from moral, political and physical anguish from the thought that Yulia Tymoshenko will have to be released from prison under the pressure of facts, reactions and strong position of the Ukrainian and global community.

The more than two years that Yanukovych has ruled Ukraine have been worse for the country than the Nazis in WWII – the middle class has been destroyed, the economy has been plundered, tens of billions of dollars have been laundered abroad, they have taken ownership of the most valuable lands and mineral deposits and transformed the people of Ukraine into slaves.

Clearly Yanukovych and his cronies need to somehow cover up and hide this, divert attention to something else. That’s why they keep inventing new cases against Yulia Tymoshenko and other patriots of Ukraine. Yesterday she allegedly was involved in the murder of Shcherban, today it’s four more murders, tomorrow it’ll be Kennedy, and the day after tomorrow the crucifixion of Jesus. After Kuzmin and Khoroshkovsky’s dirty work there may be new charges of attempted murder on the territory of Ukraine and abroad. The insanity is mind-boggling. And such insinuations can be voiced by only one person in the prosecutor’s office – the great “fighter for justice” who always has an idiotic smile and recidivist stubble, the best buddy of the leader of the bandits in the Party of Regions and part-time Prosecutor General of Ukraine – Renat Kuzmin. The logical question follows: can someone who’s always smiling to himself be normal, adequate and healthy? I think the regime repeated allows this strange and inadequate prosecutor to speak on behalf of the PGO in order to avoid serious political problems with the international community. What can you do with a mentally sick person?

Leading Ukrainian and foreign publications said that Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin “behaved like a bandit” at the recent conference in Yalta. “His performance was the best anti-propaganda for the Ukrainian authorities. He looked like a bandit, behaved like a bandit and spoke like a bandit.” This was the reaction of Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics Anders Aslund.

“I have no idea why they sent him here. I didn’t find a single person that he convinced of something,” said former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer.

Everyone has long grown tired of these blatant lies that have been sounding on the government-controlled central TV channels from the president, senior officials at the PGO, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I want the people of Ukraine to know that the biggest gangsters in Ukraine are Yanukovych and his family – these are criminals, on whose hands is the blood of hundreds of innocent young people killed in Donetsk in the 1990s, buried in mines in Donetsk. After Shcherban’s murder all his wealth went to Yanukovych’s clan. There were murders of political opponents that didn’t let them grasp power. Renat Kuzmin and Viktor Pshonka, who at the time headed the prosecutor’s office in Donetsk, were witnesses and participants in these events.

Question: Why in 21 years of independence were there never any investigations into high-profile murders in Donetsk of ordinary people and serious political opponents of the current criminal regime? Why didn’t the local and regional prosecutor’s office pursue these heinous crimes? Why in all these years were there no serious press conferences by the Donestk oblast prosecutor’s office or official statements by the PGO about heroic investigations and the prosecution of those responsible for these killings? And why now are these valiant fighters and crystal clean prosecutors suddenly remembering the murder of a successful businessman, lawmaker, political and business rival of the previous and current government, Yevhen Shcherban?

Answer. It’s fairly simple and apparent for any citizen of Ukraine, but very difficult for people from civilized countries to understand. The former senior officials in the Donetsk oblast prosecutor’s office, today the heads of the PGO, deliberately, consciously, with permission and blessing from the country’s senior leaders, helped cover up the criminal activities of the current government, in doing so committing serious crimes in office.

We have given competent authorities in the US and Europe materials regarding the involvement of Viktor Yanukovych, Renat Kuzmin and Viktor Pshonka in high-profile killings in Ukraine, as well as massive money laundering and bribery.

Events in Ukraine once again highlight that the regime is on the verge of confrontation with the Ukrainian people. With every day people’s lives are getting worse. Wage arrears are growing – more than 1 billion hryvnias in the industrial sector alone. Who will have a conscience after this?

Seeing the futility of all the cases involving Yulia Tymoshenko, the current government is throwing all its efforts into unprecedented fabrication of Yulia Tymoshenko’s alleged involvement in murder. What will you come up with next? Come on, do it all at once!

I appeal too all people, to Ukrainians – don’t believe a single word from these stupid mob elites in power! It’s all lies. Europe has even stopped reacting to it and looks on with contempt and disgust. Europe and the world is watching this “mistake of nature” called President Yanukovych with disgust. If someone shakes his hand they wash their hands with soap for the next two days.

I appeal to the world’s leading countries to urgently investigate the activities of Yanukovych’s regime. We’ve sent you materials on this. Stop the dictatorship. Free Ukraine of Yanukovych. End the tyranny and abuse. Yanukovych’s fear is only intensifying and the walls of Mezhyhirya can’t help him now.
